"RATS" or the Pied Piper of olde Dolgellau towne. is a story of feuding families, corruption amongst the local council and young love. Like Romeo and Juliet, Elfyn and Morwena strive to overcome the hostility between their parents  to have their own life. In to this mix walks the Piper who says that he can solve at least the problem of the rats but he has reckoned without the penny pinching Mayor and council. The Mayor tries to avoid paying him for getting rid of the rats and only achieves the loss of the towns children.

Eventually all is resolved happily with the return of the children and the families coming together.
